IJburg is now a lively city district with several schools for primary and secondary education, a shopping center and of course the cozy harbor with many nice restaurants. Where it was pioneering in the early years, the success of the district now requires a sequel, and that will be completed with IJburg phase 2.

Our vision

IJburg is booming, more and more Amsterdammers are seeking refuge in this bustling new city district and for good reason. The standard of the facilities is high and the quality of the new construction is very good. The extensions will create even more space for nature and recreation and the new city beach to be built. On summer days this will become an absolute attraction of Amsterdam.

Construction is now in full swing on Centrumeiland. Delivery of the last islands is expected in mid 2030.

The task

Distributed over the three ‘islands’ 8,000 homes will be built, bringing the total housing stock on IJburg to approximately 20,000. On the fourth ‘island’ called Buiteneiland, there will be space for nature and recreation.

IJburg is onze tweede thuishaven, en we helpen al jaren met veel plezier onze opdrachtgevers met de vele nieuwbouwprojecten die deze wijk rijk is. Zo zijn we natuurlijk ook actief betrokken bij de eerste nieuwbouwprojecten op Centrumeiland. Omdat we zowel in de nieuwbouw als ook in de bestaande bouw zeer actief zijn in dit gebied weten we als geen ander waar de uitdagingen zitten én hoe de markt zich beweegt.
